where thing are

Out a hole in the wall, a little mouse popped his head, a cat was staring at him.

“Help me please!”

“No, I’m going to eat you!”

Then the owner came straight away. “What do you want my darling?”

“Miaow”

“Are you hungry sweetie?”

“Miaow”

“OK, I will be right back ok ?”

“You’re lucky, I’ll be back for you next time” hissed the cat.

The mouse scurried along the skinny path. He ran straight into the cat again.

“Aaaaahhhhh!”

“You’re mine now!” rejoiced the cat.

It put its head down and opened its mouth very wide and gulped the mouse.

  1. Hi Paige,

Well done on using the technique of the week (beginning with a “Where Things Are” sentence) successfully! I liked the dialogue in your story, and the effort you made to use precise vocabulary (e.g. “rejoiced”).
    Keep on writing!
